Scientific studies have shown that early music training Aids in brain development by creating pathways for neural activity Increases later abilities in mathematics, communication and memory Aids in reading and literacy Guest Instructor: Ms. Hanbing Hong, graduated from Mozarteum University of Music and The Performing Arts in Salzburg, Austria, has many years of experiences in teaching children music in China, Germany and Canada. She is currently a music teacher at a Montessori school in Mississauga. This program offers the children a wide variety of musical experiences with activities programmed to meet the specific needs of each age group. The basic elements of music – rhythm, melody, dynamics, phrasing, form will be taught through      Singing games Speech games Movement Playing small percussion instruments Listening to music Finger play All will be in an enjoyable and nurturing atmosphere. Children from 3 to 6 years are welcome to join the music program start in May 2002.
